- Preheat the oven to 180⁰/gas mark 5. Put cupcake cases in a tray.
- Mix the butter and caster sugar together until smooth.
- Add eggs and mix till smooth and then add flour and stir until combined.
- Add the coco powder and the melted dark chocolate and the oil and stir all together until smooth and all combined.
- Add evenly to the cases and cook until you can put a knife in one and if it comes out clean then its cooked. Take them out of the tray and put on a cooling rack to cool completely.
- Beat the butter for about 5 minutes then add the icing sugar and when it's all mixed in add your milk. Then add the coco powder and the melted chocolate.
- Cut out the middle of the cupcake and add nutella and put the middle back in. You can either melt the nutella or just put it in how it is in the jar.
- Add the buttercream onto the cakes and add the chocolates that you want to.
Fill a piping bag with Nutella and pipe a small amount into the centre of each cake then top with the remaining sponge that you had removed. To finish your cupcakes, fill another piping bag with a star nozzle and your Nutella buttercream and pipe swirls on to the top of each cupcake. Remove the piece you just cut, and cut off the tip of the divot. Pipe the nutella into each hollowed center of the cupcake or if you're using the tip method, simply push the tip down into the center of the cupcake, pipe in the filling until the cupcake swells slightly on the top.
