  1. Take Dry Rice Paper
  2. Make ready Warm to Hot Water
  3. Prepare Dipping Sauce of your choice *Today I used Hoisin Sauce. Find more Dipping Sauces here
  4. Get Filling
  5. Take Rice Vermicelli *cooked as instructed
  6. Make ready Vegetables *e.g. Lettuce, Cucumber, Carrot, Daikon, Mint, etc
  7. Get 500 g Beef Steak *at room temperature, thinly sliced
  8. Make ready 1 tablespoon Oil
  9. Get Yakiniku Sauce of your choice *OR use the sauce below
  10. Prepare Sauce for Beef
  11. Get 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds *lightly ground
  12. Make ready 1 small piece Ginger *grated
  13. Take 1 clove Garlic *grated
  14. Take 2 tablespoons Sugar
  15. Prepare 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  16. Take 1/2 tablespoon Fish Sauce *OR extra Soy Sauce

Place scallion strips on top diagonally, from the bottom right corner up to the top left corner. Then place salmon, salmon roe, salmon skin, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Roll up the nori to close. Roll the bottom left corner up to the middle of the top edge of the nori to form a triangle, and continue rolling until you form a cone shape.

Steps to make Temaki (Self-Serve) Rice Paper Rolls:
  1. Prepare the Fillings. Slice all Vegetables into thin strips. Cook Rice Vermicelli as instructed, rinse under cold water, then Drain well. *Note: Sprinkle with some Sesame Oil to stop the noodles stick together.
  2. Heat Oil in a frying pan over high heat, cook thinly sliced Beef, and season with Yakiniku Sauce.
  3. Arrange all the fillings on a serving plate. Each guest should have their own plate that is larger than Rice Paper. Serve warm to hot Water in a bowl that is large enough to dip Rice Paper.
  4. *Note: The Water should be hot enough, but not too hot as you need to safely dip your fingers.
  5. When you eat, everyone dips a Rice Paper in the water, then place it on their own plate. Rice Paper will quickly become soft while they are placing fillings on it. Then everyone rolls up their roll and enjoy with/without Dipping Sauce.

Roll up the nori to close. Roll the bottom left corner up to the middle of the top edge of the nori to form a triangle, and continue rolling until you form a cone shape. Place a piece of fish and vegetable you desire on top of the rice, diagonally to the nori, as shown below. All you need to make Temaki Sushi (aka "hand-rolled" sushi) is yakinori seaweed, sushi rice and your favourite fillings. Wrap them up into a roll or cone shape and you are done!
